Recent visitors to Moneenroe were Clones Town who had a 2-1 win over the Colliery side in the FAI Junior cup. Karl O'Donnell scored for Villa while Jo Jo Dowd gave a man of the match performance in goal.

Villa went out of the Bramley Cup today at the semi final stage when losing 2-0 to recently crowned Premier Division champions, Crettyard Utd. in Moneenroe. This is the top knockout competition in the Carlow District Soccer League and Old Road were the only non premier side in the semi finals.
LADIES ARE CUP CHAMPIONS - Old Road Villa Ladies won the Elvery Cup Final with a 1-0 victory over East End. A Marie Dargan goal after 18 minutes decided the game. Villa had to survive a late scare when the Bennettsbridge side were awarded a penalty in the final seconds but goalkeeper Niamh Sprat saved the spot kick to ensure victory for the Moneenroe girls.
