Twelve quality childcare places are available for children from the age of 2 years 10 months up to school-going age. Our facility offers a safe and stimulating environment where your child is encouraged to play, interact and learn with other children. With 3 qualified childcare staff you can be assured that your child will be offered the best possible start in life. It is the policy of this service to support parents and families through information exchange, training and access to resources.

We believe children learn through a play-based program of fun activities. Through careful planning of activities the childcare team offer a wide range of age-appropriate activities ensuring that the child's physical, intellectual, linguistic, emotional and social needs are met. These activities are designed to encourage self-growth as well as interaction with other children. This happens in a relaxed but structured environment that allows for free play and quiet times.

Daily activities include: painting, cutting, sticking, play dough, sand, water, jigsaws, collage, matching and sorting games, cookery, home corner, music, dressing up, singing, stories, circle time, action rhymes, Lego, construction games and much, much more.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS

We have just completed two pilot projects “The After School Art Club” and “The After School Cookery Club”. Both of these clubs have been a great success, running since November 2003 with children from Clogh National School.

We also have children attending on Monday & Tuesday afternoons from 3.00 – 5.00 for homework club, with soup and rolls on arrival. This has been a great success for the past number of years. These pilot projects were very successful, with positive feedback from both children and parents. Both the children and ourselves had great fun getting to know each other and participating in all the activities and because of this we hope to run different pilot projects in the future.
